It is important to note that there are several key nutrients that are lacking in the typical Vegan diet. Because of this, those who choose this diet must find a way to replace them. Of critical import are the vitamins B and D. Calcium is also a concern. Replacing these important nutrients becomes concerning because so many supplements contain animal products.

Obviously, there are several health benefits to a Vegan diet. Primarily these diets are low in fat. As such, the offer health benefits associated with all low-fat diets.
